Missionarys Janet and Phil - South Sudan
Kia Ora,
Yesterday we had Janet and Phil, who are missionaries come to talk to us about life in South Sudan. South Sudan has 64 languages, in Juba their water comes from the Nile River. They have no sewage or electricity, meaning they have to squat over long drop toilets. They have solar power because batteries are really expensive. The gene raters use alot of diesel. In Juba their water comes from the River Nile and their groundwater is salty, but it is good because they are sweating day and night. It is VERY ( take that as VERY ) dangerous to travel on the roads because you will 9% out of 10% get robbed or killed. The population is 50,00,000 and the most popular transport is motorbike. The rainy season is from April-September raining every 2-3 days. The native girls have weaves in their hair for beauty. Their is much debate over weather there is 64 or 65 tribes. They celebrate Christmas, not Halloween.
See You Next Time,
Adele
